Hiring a Satellite phone is a cheep and effective way to stay in touch or simply have on hand in case of a medical or mechanical emergency.
A Satellite phone is as easy to use as a mobile phone, and you can even access voicemail and use SMS.

- All call costs are billed in 30 second intervals
- All call costs are billed to a nominated Credit Card after or during your hire period
- Voicemail functionality is Free , however calls to check for voicemail are charged at the standard call rate
- Direct Dial incoming calls and SMS received by the satellite phone user are free
- The rental charge is calculated from the date of pick up or dispatch if unit is to be shipped, until return to Crikey Camper Hire offices.
- Unless by mutual agreement, pickup and returns must be done between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday . Crikey is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
- A security bond of $1000.00 is required upon collection of the Satellite Phone by the Hirer. This can be secured by a Credit Card imprint.
- The hirer acknowledges that Satellite Phone Call Charges will be deducted from the security bond at the completion of the hire period
- In the event of loss or un-repairable damage, the hirer is responsible for the total cost of replacement. In the case where optional insurance has been taken out, the hirers liability is limited the amount purchased under that agreement. Insurance rates are as follows:-
- $200 excess:- $3.00 per day
- NO EXCESS:- $4.00 per day
- Note Equipment value $2,295.00
- Insurance is void in the case where the terms & conditions of the hire agreement have been breeched.
